What Is Karaincir Beach Like? Sand and Sea

  • Sand: Fine and golden, continuing into the sea. There are no rocks or sharp stones on the shore or the seabed.
  • Depth: The sea deepens very gradually and stays shallow for many metres. Ideal for small children and non-swimmers.
  • Water temperature: Karaincir's water is known as one of the coolest on the peninsula. It is warmest in late August and September.
  • Wind: The hills behind the beach block the northerly wind, so the sea is usually flat. That makes it unsuitable for windsurfing or kitesurfing; those happen a few kilometres away at Akyarlar and Fener.
  • Shade: There is little natural shade on the public section; bring an umbrella.

Food, Drink and Facilities at Karaincir

Restaurants and beach businesses line the beach, and showers, toilets and changing cabins are inside these businesses. Karaincir is not on the Blue Flag beach list. For a wider choice of restaurants, head to the fish restaurants at Akyarlar harbour, 5 minutes away.

When to Visit Karaincir Beach
