Fırnaz Bay is located within the borders of the Kaş district and is particularly close to the town of Kalkan. Situated on the western side of Kalkan, about 10–15 minutes away by sea, the bay has largely preserved its natural structure thanks to the limited access by road.

Access by land is quite limited. The area where the bay is located has a rugged terrain that preserves its natural character. Although it is possible to reach a certain point by private car, the last section generally consists of trails and unpaved roads. Therefore, reaching the bay by land is both challenging and not recommended.
The ideal option is to rent a private boat from Kalkan or join a daily blue cruise program. Approaching the bay by sea offers a much more impressive view of its turquoise color and surrounding natural texture.

Snorkeling: Thanks to the clarity of the water, it is possible to observe small fish and marine life. Even without professional diving equipment, you can have a pleasant experience with a snorkel.
Boat Leisure: Fırnaz is a peaceful bay where private yachts and gulets frequently anchor. Sunbathing, jumping into the sea, and relaxing on the boat are among the most popular activities here.

Since its natural structure has been preserved, there is no intense development or large-scale facilities in the bay. This provides a calmer and more nature-oriented atmosphere.
Climate of Fırnaz Bay and the Best Time to Visit
Fırnaz Bay has a typical Mediterranean climate. Summers are hot and dry, while winters are mild and rainy. The sea season usually begins in May and continues until the end of October.
Best period: June and September. During these months, the weather is warm but not overwhelming, and the sea temperature is quite pleasant.
July–August: The busiest and hottest period. Boat traffic especially increases during these months.
May and October: Suitable for those who prefer a quieter and cooler atmosphere.
The wind is generally light, and thanks to the sheltered structure of the bay, the sea is calm most of the time.
